How to make a visa.
Sending it off tomorrow! Thought I’d share what this is. This big binder is my next visa application. But how do you make one? Well it takes two years of prep. First, collecting two years worth of mail in my name and the hubby’s from official sources (ie bills, statements, etc). Then, a 17 page application. Next is every official document you’ve ever had, from birth cert to marriage cert, and your passport. Add in a generous portion of financial proof, from bank statements to pay slips. And finally top off with a £830 fee. Stir vigorously, allow to bake for 3-4 months. Serves 1.

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Call me an oddball, but one of my lifetime goals is to be able to go to Pripyat in the Ukraine and photograph it. Prypiat was a city built to house the workers of the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant. It was completely evacuated in 1986 following the Chernobyl disaster. The city is situated in the Zone of Alienation in Northern Ukraine, a 30km exclusion zone around the reactor. Most of the area is concidered relatively safe, and many Ukraine companies offer guided tours.
Share on FacebookThe Best Birthday Present

Mark’s birthday was on November 3rd. I was worried about what to get him in the months leading up to his birthday, until I thought up the ultimate gift for my gamer: a gaming headset. Not just any headset, but a Razer Barracuda 5.1 surround sound gaming headset: four speakers in each ear, noise cancelling mic, LED lights, comfort fit, brilliant. Best idea ever. So I order them from the states, work with my mom to have them shipped to her house, and then onto ours. He absolutely loved them, and admittingly he ended up opening the gift a few days ahead of time. So on November 3rd, all we had planned was to have dinner with his family.
Or so we thought.
