You forgot the bit where husbands can now get maternity leave too. I believe it&#039;s only a couple of weeks but hey better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. ;-)

Also depending on his circumstances, he may request flex working time. Operative words being may request.

There is also the right to up to thirteen weeks&#039; unpaid parental leave ( this is necessarily related to maternity as I think this can be an option until the child is 18.
